1 - 4 pm Snake Day In May!
Saturday, May 20, 2017 1:00 pm PDT - 4:00 pm PDT
Location: PHS Sanctuary
Description: This family-friendly event is designed to teach the general public about not only the cool-ness of snakes, but also why they are beneficial, the kind of diversity we can see in the world, local (native) snakes, and even interact with some of the snakes found in the pet industry.
Did you know that the fear of snakes is called ophidophobia? It is the second most common fear of something in the natural world, but we don’t need to be afraid of them! We should be educated and respectful – that’s how you stay safe around animals like rattlesnakes.
This event will have multiple highlights, including mini-tours of our venomous snake collection and non-venomous snake collection, a mini-tour of the other critters at the property, and a petting zoo/interaction time!
We will also have meal tickets available for purchase. They are $5 and include either a hamburger or hot dog as well as chips & a drink. They can be purchased online or at the door.
