Twilight Croc Walk
Saturday, June 17, 2017 6:00 pm PDT - 9:00 pm PDT
Location: PHS Sanctuary
Description: Join us for a Twilight Croc Walk at the Phoenix Herpetological Society & see our alligators and crocodiles like never before...at night!
Have dinner, observe amazing crocodile feedings, learn about nocturnal reptiles, and find our crocs & gators using just a flashlight and their reflective eyeshine! We'll even have one of our special rescued alligators out for display with the researcher conducting her physical therapy and assisting with her rehabilitation! Get the family away from the TV & video games and experience a Twilight Croc Walk!
Admission include access to all feedings and demonstrations, dinner (hamburger or hot dog plus chips and a drink), wristband, and adults get a commemorative can koozie while kids get a headlamp to take home!
Kids under three are free, but meal tickets can be purchased for them at the door for $5.
Planned Itinerary Includes:
6:00 - 6:30 pm: Dinnertime! Grill will close at 6:30 pm.
6:30 - 8:30 pm: Petting Zoo/Interactions in the Classroom
6:45 pm: Croc Feeding Demonstration
7:15 pm: Croc Feeding Demonstration
7:45 pm: Croc Feeding Demonstration
8:15 - 9:00 pm: Time to count the crocs using the flashlights & headlamps!
9:00 pm: Time to go home!
* We are doing multiple demonstrations so that you and/or your family can choose to see a feeding as well as have time to go to the petting zoo and do the face-painting. This is a more informal portion of the night and you can come and go as you please.*
* Please note there are multiple feeding demonstrations so that you have plenty of opportunities to participate in all activities. The exact animals that we will be feeding will be determined the day of the event, but you can definitely plan on seeing at least one American Alligator and at least a couple of different types of crocodiles eat!*
